It’s pretty interesting when you see people (mostly girls?) going crazy for idols or idol groups
I feel like they would go insane if they saw that idol... imagine the shit fans would do for a dinner with that idol... i can easily see a fan flip out if an idol gives a freakin handshake to that fan
Idols that don't know your name, idols that haven't seen your face or noticed you
And yet for the people that actually cares or knows you
The people that love you
Can you validate your attitude to idols in comparison to the way you treat 'normal' people?

They're just people that make shit that the company hands out to them
Just fuckin good looking people that are marketed well and maybe sing or dance well (or can read off verses well like g-dragon...)

there are a lot of undeserving idol groups (i just thought of like...4 in my head) but there are a lot of talented groups too.
people that went through like hundreds of auditions and beat a couple thousands of other people fighting for that same spot..
people that practice singing and dancing and sleep only and hour because of their schedules but still keep up the appearance and expectations..
like boa and tvxq or something
i think they are respectable and deserve their titles.
it's so sad how many idol groups cant even dance or sing D: but they are just good looking D: oh god...

If you think about it...What about the doctors just as hard or even more? The scientists that help improve the world? The humanists that help the world?
Why aren't they respected beyond their respective circles? Why aren't they praised by the masses?
Dance moves and singing...sure it takes dedication but seriously what good are they bringing to this world? Entertainment? Then why are they required to have good looking faces and slimmed down bodies?
Most don't deserve the amount of respect they are instantaneously given.
Yeah sigh what Ben said… I don’t want to be redundant.. I wrote something of that nature but Ben posted first. So I erased some, but add on:
The whole nation adores them.
Do they deserve girls talking about them as if they did something miraculous?
Did they cure aids? Did they create world peace? Do they have wealth? Do they have power?
Did they do anything except become puppets for their company?
Did they do anything except dance and sing and smile for the camera?
Be good looking? Have a nice body?
Do they know you?
And yet why do people chase after them?
Wait a day at a concert to see them?
Would you camp out for anyone else in the world that’s close to you?
Would you rather have a dinner with an idol or someone that loves you?
They have the most undeserved type of love. The most undeserved fame and money.
And notice all the fans, a lot of them are girls.. If they actually deserved some sort of fame that doesn’t have to do with looks or aura don’t you think that their audience will be more far reaching?
Seriously, the only reason why people like idols is because they are an ideal of a perfect guy
He obviously unreachable, most people will not meet that idol in their lifetime, not even exchange couple words.
And yet he just seems so close.

Yeah no crap, we all have eyes, but what did he do for you? What did he even do for society?
Why don’t the people that actually care about you get that type of respect or adoration?

So is there anyone that’s an idol group that’s not good looking or decent looking?
No because obviously, they won’t sell, they won’t make money because nobody wants to look at their ugly faces, regardless of how much talent they may have.
That’s cold society, that’s the superficial society that we live in, and cherish.
Then obviously if an ugly guy won’t sell, but a good looking guy with less talent does, I think we all know what the main factor in fan love is.
Looks. Personality? Appearances on TV shows?
Idols are an ideal that we hold.
It's not that they sleep an hour a day or that they have THAT much talent. We all know what it is...
